On behalf of all the staff, a warm welcome back to school for our children, particularly our new children who started school in Reception and Nursery this week.
The children have settled really well and are already enjoying their learning activities in class. We look forward to a busy year.
Reception children will be staying for lunch next week, so please look at the menu and book via Parentmail to ensure your child will like their dinner. Pick up time for Reception will be 1:00pm. Nursery children will be staying all morning next week, pick up time will be 11:30am.
Please remember to complete any outstanding paper work for school that you have and bring into the office to ensure we have all the up-to-date information about your child.
Finally, our newsletter contains a lot of important information this week, so please read through carefully, and check for updates on the school website.

Reminders
As the new school year starts, here are some reminders.
Mobile phones are not permitted to be used on the school site. Please greet your child with a smile at home time!
Children can only wear stud earrings to school. No other jewellery is allowed. Earrings must be removed before coming to school on PE day, otherwise your child will not be able to take part in PE.
School dinners must be booked in advance and not on the day.
Breakfast club must also be booked in advance, due to the numbers we are allowed to have in ratio.
Classroom doors open at 8.30am and close at the latest of 8.45am. Your child should be in class before 8.45am to be able to start work promptly.
All absences are required to be reported to school, by parents calling in the morning. The school should not be chasing parents for reasons of absence.
The school would appreciate it for all parents to follow these simple reminders. Thank you
PE days:
For September please note the following:
Year 4 Otter Class: Monday
Year 2 Badger Class: Tuesday
Year 3 Hedgehog Class: Wednesday
Year 1 Owl Class: Thursday
Please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit on this day, along with their school jumper.
*Dark coloured shorts *White T-shirt * Dark coloured jogging bottoms
*Trainers or plimsolls (no laces unless your child can do them up themselves)
PE kit is uniform – we will ask for a different set if they are not in uniform
Bags:
Please ensure children bring ONE bag to school, with all the things they need. One bag is enough for children to organise and sort in the mornings, and storage of more than 30 bags is proving more difficult in classrooms.
Thank you.
Please note: access to Reading Eggs has now stopped due to limited use.
We are excited to announce that we will be launching Times Table RockStars and Numbots in the next few weeks.
